BIOGRAPHY
An agricultural engineer, José María (Pepe) Heras received the Master in Viticulture and Oenology designation from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain. Having worked during the harvest periods in different cellars in Spain and abroad, he became the technical manager of a cellar and vineyard in Castilla Léon. In 2005, he joined the Lallemand team in Spain and Portugal.
Since 2008, he has been in charge of R&D projects for Spain and Portugal, being a member of the Lallemand R&D team. He is currently the global Technical Manager responsible for coordinating the transfer of developments in the winemaking process.
Pepe also provides technical support to winery suppliers and winemakers worldwide.
