BIOGRAPHY

Javier got his degree in Agriculture Engineer in 2001 and in 2002 he obtained a Master degree in Oenology and Viticulture at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM).

The same year, Javier started to work as researcher at the Viticulture Research Group (GIV) in the UPM, taking part in diverse R&D projects in different grape growing regions all over Spain.

He started to work in 2005 as Technical Viticulture Manager in a 190 ha vineyard owned by the group González Byass in Toledo (Spain). After that, he worked for three years in Tragsatec in Madrid, a company specialized in providing engineering, consulting and technical assistance in areas such as agriculture, forestry or the environment, rural development or marine environment. There, he worked as project technician for the update of the Spanish vineyard registration for the Ministry of Agriculture.

In 2012, Javier went back to the Viticulture Research Group in the UPM. This is where he first encountered LalVigne products. After carrying out researches in these applications for a couple of years, he started to work in Lallemand in 2014.

Currently, he is R&D Manager for LalVigne, a Lallemand project dedicated to bringing natural solutions to the viticulture.
