IMPROVE GRAPE QUALITY FROM VERAISON WITH THE APPLICATION OF YEAST DERIVATIVES
BIOGRAPHY

Fabrizio Battista passed his Master Degree in Viticulture and Oenology in 2009 at the University of Padua (Italy) with a thesis on vine gene expression using microarray technology. In 2012 he obtained a PhD in Viticulture and Oenology with a multidisciplinary study combining the effect of terroir on grape morphology and wine quality.

For the duration of his PhD, he worked at the Viticulture Research Centre of the Agriculture Research Council of Conegliano (CRA), Italy, and continued to work there after graduating until 2015. During these six years he developed some research programme focused on various topics such as grape post-harvest dehydration process, berry skin thickness, effect of different training systems and different cultural practices on grape quality, root system, zoning study.

In 2015, he joined Lallemand where he became part of the R&D team for viticulture applications and Fabrizio is also in charge of technical support for the Italian market.
